Game Day Sweet & Spicy BBQ Chicken Sliders

  • 3 tsp Truvia Sweet Complete Brown with a hint of Molasses

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple

  • 6 oz tomato paste

  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp hickory smoke powder

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp habanero sauce

  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 12 lbs. chicken (3 skinless chicken breasts)


  • 1.

    Place everything except chicken into pressure cooker or crockpot.

  • 2.

    Whisk together to make sauce.

  • 3.

    Add chicken, coating all sides with sauce.

  • 4.

    Cook for 30 minutes in pressure cooker or 2-2 ½ hour in crock pot or until chicken shreds easily with a fork.

  • 5.

    Check that the internal temperature is 165°F.

  • 6.

    After cooking, shred chicken with two forks.

  • 7.

    Continue to heat for 30 more minutes on low or warm setting. This will let the sauce soak into the meat.

  • 8.

    Serve on slider buns, refrigerate leftover. (nutrition does not include the slider bun)
