Brown Sugar Cinnamon French Toast Bake Recipe with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

1 loaf of french bread
8 large eggs
2 cups (500 mL) skim milk
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) Fat-free half and half
6 Tbsp (90 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend
2 Tbsp (30 mL) vanilla extract
Topping
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) all-purpose flour
1⁄4 cup (62.5 mL) Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) unsalted butter
1⁄4 tsp (1.25 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
Directions
- 1.
Spray one 9 (23 cm) x 13 (33cm) -inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- 2.
Cut french bread into bite- size chunks and place into pan.
- 3.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, half and half Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and vanilla extract. Mix for 2 minutes with a wire whisk.
- 4.
Pour egg mixture evenly over bread, mix and press down, cover with plastic wrap.
- 5.
Store in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

In a small bowl, mix together flour, Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend, cinnamon and salt, add sliced butter pieces and cut into the dry mixture using a fork.

Combine until mixture has peas sizes chunks. Cover and store mixture in the refrigerator

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), remove plastic wrap, and crumble topping on top of the bread mixture.
- 9.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a golden brown colour.
- 10.
Serve warm.
