Luscious Lime Bars Recipe with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

Crust:
2⁄3 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening or 2⁄3 cup (160 mL) Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
1⁄3 cup (80 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend
1 cup (250 mL) Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) graham cracker crumbs
1⁄4 tsp (1.25 mL) salt
Filling:
3 large eggs
3⁄4 cup (177 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
11⁄2 tsp (7.5 mL) finely grated lime peel
1⁄4 cup (60 mL) fresh lime juice
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Directions
For Crust:
- 1.
Beat shortening and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
- 2.
Add flour, graham cracker crumbs and salt; beat until dough forms.
- 3.
Press into even layer in bottom of 9-inch square baking pan.
- 4.
Bake 20 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
For Filling:
- 5.
Whisk eggs until blended.
- 6.
Whisk in Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, flour and lime peel until blended. Whisk in lime juice.
- 7.
Pour over cool crust.
- 8.
Bake 25 minutes or until just set in center. Cool completely on wire rack. For best results, refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
