Apple Cinnamon Waffle with Truvia® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour, sifted

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 2 tsp (10 mL) salt

  • 2 large eggs, separated

  • 1 14 cup (310 mL) skim milk

  • 13 cup (80 mL) canola oil

  • 1 apple, washed and finely chopped


  • 1.

    In a medium bowl, add sifted flour and mix in Truvia® baking blend, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

    In a small bowl, beat egg whites* until stiff. Set aside.

  • 3.

    In a medium bowl, beat egg yolk* well and stir in milk and oil.

  • 4.

    Add sifted dry ingredients to the yolk mixture but lightly mix until just moist.

    Fold in egg whites.

  • 6.

    Gently mix in apple pieces.

  • 7.

    Bake in preheated waffle maker until golden brown (approximately 4-5 minutes).

    Top with your favorite syrup or honey, if desired.
