Caramel Corn with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

A sweet caramel-and molasses-coated popcorn confection. This confection is made with Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and have 6% fewer calories* and 68% less sugar* than the regular sugar-sweetened version. Makes 12 servings.

  • 12 cup (125 mL) Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend

  • 12 cup (125 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 34 cups (177 mL) unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) butter flavor

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) salt

  • 24 cups (6000 mL) of air popped corn


  • 1.

    Melt butter in pan, and then add Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend and Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend.

  • 2.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and stir constantly for 5 minutes.

  • 3.

    Remove from heat; add soda and butter flavor, stir well.

  • 4.

    Using a large container with a sealing lid add 13 of the popcorn and 13 of the caramel mixture and seal and shake.

  • 5.

    Repeat until all the popped corn and caramel are combined.

  • 6.

    Spread on wax paper, sprinkle on salt and allow them to harden.

  • 7.

    Store in airtight container.

*Each has 150 calories and 6 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full-sugar version which have 160 calories and 19 grams of sugar per serving.
