Chocolate Chip Banana Cookies with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

Ingredients

  • 13 cup (75mL) unsalted butter, softened

  • 14 cup (60mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 egg

  • 12 cup (125mL) mashed ripe bananas

  • 12 teaspoon (2.5mL) vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (500mL) all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon (5mL) baking powder

  • 14 teaspoon (1mL) salt

  • 18 teaspoon (1mL) baking soda

  • 1 cup (500mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • 2.

    In a small bowl, beat together the butter and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend.

  • 3.

    Mix in the egg, banana and vanilla.

  • 4.

    In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

  • 5.

    Stir in chocolate chips

  • 6.

    Drop by tablespoonful 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.

  • 7.

    Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
