Rich and Dreamy Vanilla Frosting Recipe

This creamy vanilla frosting is the icing on the cake! Made deliciously sweet with Truvia® Sweet Complete Icing Sweetener and only four simple ingredients, it’s easy to whip up a batch and get frosting. Each serving has 33% fewer calories* and 88% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. This recipe makes 2 cups of frosting (or 18 servings) to generously frost one 13x9 inch cake.

  • 1.

    Place the softened butter and softened fat-free cream cheese into a medium mixing bowl

  • 2.

    On medium speed cream together until no lumps are visible. (2-3 minutes).

  • 3.

    Turn the mixer to low and add vanilla extract, mix 1 minute or until the vanilla has completely combined with the butter mixture.

  • 4.

    While mixing, slowly add the Truvia® Sweet Complete Icing Sweetener to the butter one spoonful at a time. With each spoonful, allow the the Truvia® Sweet Complete Icing Sweetener to become fully mixed into the butter before adding more. (2-3 minutes).

  • 5.

    Mix on high speed to make the mixture fluffy and light.

  • 6.

    Use immediately or store the frosting, covered, in the refrigerator until ready to use.

  • 7.

    Allow frosting to stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours prior to use if it has been refrigerated.
