Garlic Aioli Recipe with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

For a burst of flavour, dip, spread or mix this Garlic Aioli into your favorite recipes. Made with Truvia® Cane Sugar Blend, this recipe has less sugar than the full-sugar version, but all the flavour! Try it in our Garlic Aioli Tuna Macaroni Salad – get the recipe here. Makes 25 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) cornstarch

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vegetable broth

  • 14 cup (60 mL) hot water

  • 2 eggs

  • 12 tsp (2.5 mL) salt

  • 2 tsp (10 mL) Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 12 tsp (2.5 mL) mustard powder

  • 4 tsp (20 mL) lemon juice

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) finely minced garlic

  • 12 tsp (2.5 mL) black pepper

  • 34 cup (180 mL) vegetable oil

Directions

  • 1.

    In a small sauce pan, combine cornstarch and vegetable broth, mix until forms a paste.

  • 2.

    Add the hot water and mix until well combined.

  • 3.

    Heat, on medium heat, for 2 minutes or until the texture thickens. Stir often.

  • 4.

    Refrigerate to cool and to be used later.

  • 5.

    In a blender cup, add eggs, salt Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, mustard power, lemon juice, garlic and pepper.

  • 6.

    Pulse blender for seconds 4-5 times.

  • 7.

    Scrape down.Turn blender on low and slowly drizzle oil in. One all the oil has been incorporated and aioli thickens, turn off blender.

  • 8.

    Transfer to sealable wide mouth container.

  • 9.

    Once starch solution is cooled, stir it into aioli.

  • 10.

    Store in refrigerator, will continue to firm up as it chills.
