Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp onion, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced

  • 1 Tbsp butter

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 12 cup Truvía® Original Sweetener Spoonable

  • 12 cup red wine vinegar

  • 14 cup molasses

  • 12 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 12 tsp salt

  • 12 tsp black pepper

  • 18 tsp cinnamon

  • 12 tsp cayenne powder

  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)

Variations

​ Replace red wine vinegar with another version such as apple cider.​
For more heat, add your favorite chilies or ground peppers.

Directions

  • 1.

    Sauté onion and garlic in butter in medium saucepan.

  • 2.

    In a separate small bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients.

  • 3.

    Add to saucepan; simmer for 30 minutes. For thinner sauce, reduce cook time, and for thicker sauce increase cook time.

  • 4.

    For best results, refrigerate overnight before use.
