Grape Spread with Truvía® Calorie-Free Sweetener

Add this tangy-sweet grape spread to your favourite breads instead of adding sugar. This jelly contains 70% fewer calories* and 75% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes 2 cups (16 servings).

  • 2 cups (500 mL) water

  • 12 cup (125 mL) unsweetened grape juice concentrate

  • 14 cup (50 mL) pectin

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) + 234 tsp (13.70 mL) Truvía® calorie-free sweetener spoonable*

  • 1.

    Pour all of the wet ingredients into a 2 qt. saucepot.

  • 2.

    Stir pectin and Truvía® calorie-free sweetener together.

  • 3.

    Add to the wet ingredients; whisk very well.

  • 4.

    Over high heat, bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. The mixture will foam.

  • 5.

    Reduce heat to medium-low, cook for 20 minutes, stirring once in a while.

  • 6.

    Either follow the directions on the pectin instructions for preserving, or pour into a bowl, allow to cool then refrigerate if not consuming right away.

*This grape jelly has 15 calories and 3 grams of sugar per serving, compared to 50 calories and 12 grams of sugar per serving in the full-sugar version.
