Ingredients

For the Loaf:

  • 12 lb. ground sirloin

  • 12 ground chuck

  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped

  • 12 chopped onion

  • 12 chopped celery

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) chili pepper

  • 12 cup (125 mL) chopped bell pepper

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) Truvía® calorie-free sweetener spoonable*

  • 1 lemon, zested

  • 8 ounces canned, diced tomatoes with juice

  • 12 cup (125 mL) ground bran flakes, ground

  • 12 tsp (2.5 mL) cracked black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 12 cup (125 mL) ketchup

  • 12 cup (125 mL) canned tomatoes, puréed

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) cumin

  • 12 cup (125 mL) Truvía® calorie-free sweetener, spoonable**

  • Dash of worchester sauce

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) prepared mustard

Directions

  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • 2.

    Mix all loaf ingredients well and place in a baking dish. Shape into a loaf.

  • 3.

    Mix ingredients for sauce and spread on top of loaf. Bake for 1 hour.

*This meatloaf has 150 calories and 5 grams of sugar per serving compared to the regular sugar-sweetened version which has 275 calories and 35 grams of sugar.
